Turning Awareness Into Evidence

The WDA Global Alliance Research Collective brings together practitioners, researchers, and forward-thinking organizations to study how awareness and energy interact inside real workplaces.

Its purpose is simple: to translate the daily practices of Work Day Awareness into measurable, verifiable outcomes in physiology, cognition, and participation.

By combining practitioner field data with academic partnership, the Collective is building the empirical foundation for Energy Dynamics™ - proving that awareness isn’t soft; it’s systemic.

The Science of Coherence Model™

This model illustrates how awareness regulates energy flow across the human system. Each scientific layer contributes a distinct lens - physiology (body), neuroscience (mind), behavioral science (relationships), system science (structure), and field theory (patterns) - all converging through Energy Dynamics™ at the center.

Our Core Research Pillars

Focus Area

  • Physiology & Energy Regulation

  • Cognitive & Behavioral Awareness

  • Social & Participatory Dynamics

  • Organizational Coherence

Exploring how awareness practices influence HRV, recovery, and stress resilience.

Studying how attention, decision-making, and adaptability evolve under daily work conditions.

Measuring voice balance, engagement, and inclusion using the Participation Balance Index (PBI).

Mapping how awareness-based leadership improves culture, communication, and performance outcomes.

Together, these pillars form the scientific base of Energy Dynamics - linking awareness, energy, and measurable results.

How Practitioners Contribute

Every WDA® Practitioner plays a role in building this emerging field.

Your real-world insights - from team sessions, engagement cycles, and Awareness Pause practices - become part of a shared research effort.

  1. Field Observation
Capture natural data from your coaching sessions or team interventions - Awareness Pause frequency, PBI patterns, or cadence cycles.

  2. Data Reflection
Share anonymized observations and findings through the WDAGA Practitioner Portal. (Aggregate reporting tools coming soon.)

  3. Research Integration
WDAGA analyzes collective patterns and shares results back through insight briefs, practitioner reports, and case summaries.

Each observation strengthens the evidence base for how awareness regulates human energy and performance.

Current Focus Areas

The Collective’s inaugural research priorities include:

  • The physiological effects of daily Awareness Pauses on stress recovery.

  • The relationship between Participation Balance Index (PBI) scores and psychological safety.

  • Early indicators of improved cognitive coherence through WDA® practices.

Ethical Standards

All WDAGA research follows the ethical principles of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the data privacy standards of GDPR (EU 2016/679).

Data is collected anonymously, used only for aggregate analysis, and shared transparently with participants and partner organizations.

Integrity and consent form the foundation of every study.
